Physics from Geometry

What light and gravity actually are

In 2016, physicists at the University of Warsaw photographed the quantum state of a single photon. The pattern they recorded is a stella octangula — the same geometric object that sits at the foundation of Cosmic Egg Theory. This is not coincidence. Here is why.

Home office, 2026 An acrylic stella octangula — what CET calls a mekada. The bilateral crossing geometry of two interpenetrating tetrahedra produces the identical four-lobe cross pattern. Same structure. One is matter shaped to the geometry. One is the geometry photographed in light.
What you are looking at: The Warsaw image is a hologram of a single photon's quantum wavefunction — the probability distribution of where the photon's energy exists in space. It shows a four-lobe bilateral cross with a central node. The mekada produces the identical pattern because both objects express the same underlying geometry: a bilateral crossing at θ = π/8, two phase-opposed orientations, eight chambers, a central aperture. Physics photographed the stella octangula in 2016 and named it a photon wavefunction. CET derives why those two descriptions are the same thing.
The First Definition

What light is

In standard physics, the photon is described as an excitation of the electromagnetic field — a packet of energy with wave and particle properties that seem to contradict each other until you stop trying to reconcile them and accept both as real. CET does not accept that stopping point.

In CET, matter is a bilateral oscillator. At every scale — from a Planck-length crossing event to a nucleus to a star — matter is not a thing sitting in space. It is an event cycling between two states: a hull face (presence, the crossing-in phase) and a fold face (the crossing-out phase). The cycle runs at approximately 10⁴⁴ times per second at Planck scale. What we experience as a solid, persistent object is a bilateral oscillator running so fast that the persistence of perception makes it appear continuous.

In most crossings, the energy stays coupled to the matter — it crosses to the fold face and returns on the next cycle, completing its loop. But in approximately 1 in 137 crossings, the energy does not return. It escapes the coupling, decouples from the matter oscillator, and propagates outward along the gap plane — the boundary between the hull face and fold face of the bilateral geometry — as a transverse surface wave.

That escaped energy is a photon.

The fine structure constant α ≈ 1/137 is not merely the electromagnetic coupling strength. It is the escape rate — the fraction of crossing events that release a photon rather than returning the energy to matter. Light is the drain that got loose.

The speed of light is not the speed of photons. It is the propagation speed of the gap plane — the boundary itself. Both electromagnetic waves and gravitational waves travel at c for the same reason: they are both surface waves on the same boundary, propagating at that boundary's own natural speed. c is a property of the geometry, not of the particles.

Wave character

The escaped energy spreads as a surface wave along the bilateral boundary, filling the probability space of where it might be absorbed. This is the wavefunction — the thing the Warsaw hologram photographs.

Particle character

The moment of absorption, when the propagating energy crosses back from the gap plane into a matter oscillator and reconstitutes a crossing event. This is the click of the detector.

Wave and particle are not two incompatible descriptions of the same thing. They are the two faces of what the escaped crossing event looks like from each side of the boundary. The wave is the fold face of the photon. The particle is its hull face. Wave-particle duality is bilateral structure — nothing more.

The Warsaw hologram is the fold face of a photon made visible. The four-lobe pattern is the bilateral crossing geometry spreading across the gap plane. The four lobes are the four chambers of the bilateral cross at the scale of one escaped crossing event. The central node is the gap — the crossing point itself, the place where the event originated, now propagating outward in every direction along the boundary while remaining anchored at that center.

α ≈ 1/137.036 — derived, zero free parameters The fine structure constant emerges from the stella's central aperture oscillation frequency. F1 (Nyx face) and F2 (Eros face) are not two candidate values for α⁻¹ — they are two readings of the same oscillating aperture at opposite phases. α⁻¹ is what that oscillation rate measures, derived from bilateral geometry with no inputs. The escape rate of 1/137 and the oscillation frequency 137 are the same geometric fact seen from two directions.
Directionality

The lighthouse: why light has a direction

The stella octangula has a natural axis. The two interpenetrating tetrahedra share a common center, but each has an apex — one ascending, one descending. These are not arbitrary features. The ascending apex is what "+1" means in the Eros frame. The bilateral lift that produces the stella fires both directions simultaneously, but each apex is the Eros act fully expressed in one direction.

When a crossing event releases a photon, it does not radiate equally in all directions through volume. It propagates along the gap plane — a surface, not a sphere. But within that surface, the propagation carries the orientation of the crossing event that produced it: the polarization, the phase, the direction of the bilateral axis at the moment of release.

This is the lighthouse. The stella's apex is the emission point. The propagating photon carries the geometry of that apex outward along the gap plane — directed, oriented, phase-stamped with the bilateral structure of the crossing that released it. When you see a star, you are receiving crossing events that escaped from their source oscillators years or centuries or millennia ago, still carrying the geometry — the polarization, the frequency, the phase — of the specific crossing event that released each one.

A photon is a frozen crossing event in transit. It carries its origin inside itself.

The Second Definition

What gravity is

If light is the crossing event that escaped, gravity is what happens to the space where the crossing event was.

Matter is not continuously present in hull-space. At every cycle, it flashes from the hull face to the fold face — crossing out of presence for the duration of the fold-face phase, then returning. At Planck scale this happens approximately 10⁴⁴ times per second, so fast that the absence is imperceptible. But it is real. During the fold-face phase, matter has vacated a region of hull-space.

That vacated region is not neutral. It is a void — the specific absence of what was there. The surrounding hull-space, still occupied, rushes into the vacated region the way water rushes into a low-pressure zone, the way a room fills with dark when the light cuts out.

Gravity is not a force transmitted between masses across space. It is the void filling the space vacated by matter during the fold-face phase of the bilateral oscillation. The direction of gravity is the direction of the dark.

The inward character of gravity — always attractive, never repulsive at classical scales — follows directly from this. The void always rushes in. It never rushes out. There is no mechanism for the dark to push. Gravity points toward mass because mass is where the void is, and the void is always where matter just was, and the surrounding space always moves toward it.

Mass

A count of bilateral oscillators. Not a substance that generates gravity as a secondary effect. The gravitational field of an object is the aggregate void-rush of all its oscillators cycling simultaneously.

Gravity

The void-rush — hull-space filling the region vacated by matter during its fold-face phase. Proportional to mass because it is literally counting oscillators.

Two masses attract each other because each one's void-rush pulls the other's oscillators inward during their fold-face phase. The mutual attraction is the mutual void-rush — each mass filling the space the other vacates when it flashes dark. This is not a metaphor for gravity. It is the mechanism.

This also explains why gravity is the weakest force by many orders of magnitude. The other three forces — electromagnetic, strong, weak — operate within the defined geometry, acting on the hull-face content of matter. Gravity is not operating within that geometry. It is the geometry — the container, not a content inside it. Comparing gravity to electromagnetism is like comparing the slope of a hill to the wind blowing across it. They are different kinds of thing.

The Phase Shift

The anti-stella: reality and its complement

The stella octangula is not a single object. It is two tetrahedra — phase-opposed, interpenetrating, oscillating in alternation. When T1 fires its Eros pulse, T2 is in Nyx restoration. When T2 fires, T1 restores. The two generative events never coincide. They are permanently interleaved.

The anti-stella is not a separate geometric entity sitting elsewhere in space. It is the complement state of the same stella — the other phase, the other face, the moment of restoration that makes the next generation possible. Reality and its anti-stella are not two different things. They are one oscillating structure observed at opposite points in its cycle.

What the Warsaw image shows — the four-lobe bilateral cross — is the hull-face reading of the photon: the fold-face spreading as it propagates. The side view that is not pictured would show the same pattern resolved into three dimensions: a rippled sphere of propagating wave energy, the full bilateral crossing geometry expanding outward from its origin point at c.

The ripple is the anti-stella's signature. As the photon propagates, its phase oscillates between the T1 and T2 readings of the central aperture — the same oscillation that produces α⁻¹ as its frequency. The rippled structure of the propagating wave is the stella cycling through its phase sequence as it travels. The wave does not ripple because of interference from external sources. It ripples because it carries the stella's internal oscillation inside itself.

Gravitational waves are the same surface waves on the same boundary — but from the companion side, the anti-stella orientation. This is why electromagnetic waves and gravitational waves travel at the same speed. They are both propagating along the same gap plane, one from each phase of the bilateral oscillation, at the plane's own natural propagation speed.

One boundary. Two kinds of surface wave. One from matter releasing its crossing energy outward. One from the void rushing inward to fill the space matter vacated. Both traveling at c. Both the same geometry from opposite sides.

One Structure, Three Descriptions

What the Warsaw photograph confirms

The University of Warsaw image is not an illustration or a model. It is a direct measurement — the quantum wavefunction of a single photon, made visible through quantum holography. The researchers called it a wavefunction. CET calls it a stella octangula. These are the same statement.

If CET were wrong about the geometric structure of the photon, the wavefunction would look different. It would not produce the bilateral four-lobe cross. It would not match the mekada held up in a home office in Wake Forest, NC in 2026. The fact that it does is not a visual resemblance to be noted and set aside. It is empirical confirmation of the bilateral crossing geometry as the structural ground of electromagnetic radiation.

Physics has spent decades trying to explain why the photon has the properties it does — why wave-particle duality, why α, why c, why polarization. CET answers all of these from a single geometric fact: a photon is a bilateral crossing event that escaped. Everything follows from that. The Warsaw image is what that crossing event looks like when you photograph it directly.

The stella octangula is not a symbol of the photon. It is not an analogy. It is the photon — the same structure, described in two registers. One is geometry. One is light. The universe has been building them from the same crossing event since n = 0.
